Bejnamin Cory Harow’s tips for safety after receiving the Covid vaccine
After a year of uncertainty, we can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel when the coronavirus pandemic ends. Several vaccines are now being distributed around the world, and scientists are optimistic that life will return to normal. After a whole year of financial and mental problems, people are finished. They want to get back to work, hold family reunions, and book a vacation whenever they want. Even if things could get back to normal soon, Dr. Benjamin Cory Harow is reminding everyone that the virus still exists and we should nonetheless take precautions to protect ourselves and the people around us.
Harow graduated from Stony Brook University School of Medicine and graduated from the University of Chicago. He currently works as an emergency medicine specialist at West Boca Medical Center in North Palm Beach, Florida. His job specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of patients suffering from life-threatening conditions such as heart attack, shock, overdose or massive bleeding. He has approximately 20 years of medical experience and is licensed to practice medicine in Florida, Illinois, and Massachusetts.
Benjamin Cory Harow would like to use his expertise to share some information with the public on how to stay safe and healthy after the pandemic has ended. Some people think that after they both get vaccine shots, they can only look at Covid-19 in the rearview mirror and never have to worry about it again. Unfortunately, this is not the case. Here are some tips on how to prioritize your health and safety after receiving the vaccine:
- Keep wearing masks
Although the vaccines give people 95% immunity to Covid-19, it is still not complete immunity. Even if a person who is vaccinated feels like they are immune, they could still become a spreader and infect others around them. Harow advises everyone to take the extra precaution of wearing a mask after vaccination.
- Bring in contact only with other vaccinated persons
It is advisable to be careful with those who have not yet received the vaccine. When a person is vaccinated, it is best to quarantine yourself for two weeks before meeting with other people who have been vaccinated. This is a surefire way for people to get back social with one another without endangering others.
- Still hold back on buying a plane ticket
Dr. Anthony Fauci made a statement about people planning to travel once they are vaccinated. He said, “I mean, if you really have to travel and it’s important, then of course you have to. But we don’t want people to think because they’ve been vaccinated, then other public health recommendations just don’t apply. “Although we are nearing the end of the pandemic, it is not quite over yet.
Dr. Benjamin Cory Harow hopes that as we continue to learn more about the coronavirus and how to properly tackle the pandemic once and for all, people will find these tips useful. Even when people get tired of hearing it, we must continually adhere to CDC guidelines and practice social distancing and wear a mask. We’re not quite there when it comes to the pandemic, but we’re getting closer every day. The more we all work together to prevent the spread, the sooner we should return to normal life.
