According to DownDetector, Facebook’s app suite stopped working around 1:15 p.m. EST.
At 2:30 p.m. EST, Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger were up and running as usual.
Instagram users couldn’t update their feeds or load the desktop website, while WhatsApp and Messenger users couldn’t send or receive messages
The main Facebook app had no outages.
Facebook, which owns all three apps, didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment from Forbes.

“Earlier today, a technical problem had problems accessing some Facebook services. We have resolved this issue for everyone and we apologize for any inconvenience, ”a Facebook spokesperson said in a statement.
