Summer ray

In an exclusive Zoom interview with Sommer Ray, she discussed the motivations and experiences that inspired her as an Internet mogul.

Jackson Weimer: Kanye West once said, “Look at Lady Gaga. She was the creative director of Polaroid. I like some of the Gaga songs. What does she know about cameras? ‘ What does the role of the Chief Innovation Officer mean for you?

Summer ray: I feel like I am a pioneer in what I do on social media. I like to start revolutions. I like to be the leader. This is what Imaraïs Beauty stands for. I just like to do things I believe in and follow my heart.

Weimer: I noticed that this product is vegan certified by PETA. Are you a vegan yourself? Is that what attracted you to this product?

Beam: Felicia, my partner, she is vegan. It’s hard for me to be 100% vegan. You can get the protein you need by staying vegan if you really stick with it, but I have such a busy schedule. I always eat kosher because I just love animals and the way they are killed is just terrible.

Weimer: Are you refraining from posting on social media and focusing on other opportunities like this one?

Beam: I don’t think social media is going anywhere. Somehow there is no escape. I want both. Of course Instagram is where my business lives and where my fans are, but I also want to reach people outside of it and not just live and die from my Instagram.

Weimer: What professions did you look at before you succeeded online?

Beam: I loved babies when I was very young. I wanted to be the person who pulled the baby out of mother. Before I hit social media, I competed as a bodybuilder. I wanted to do my training as a personal trainer. Then I started making money on social media and realized that I can train a lot of people. So I’m still doing what I wanted to do.

Weimer: You are one of the 250 most-followed Instagram accounts. Have you ever turned on all of your sound notifications and then posted something?

Beam: Haha, I don’t have a notification on anything. No, but that sounds like an interesting experiment!

Weimer: Which social media platform do you browse and post the least on?

Beam: TikTok for both. It is the most poisonous. If I ever open the app, I’m always there way too long.

Weimer: What’s your favorite meme of all time or right now?

Beam: I don’t even know haha. I try not to spend as much time on my phone. What is a meme these days anyway?

Weimer: What do you think about simping and the simp culture? What is your mindset when you know there is a subreddit of 27,000+ members adoring you?

Beam: I love my simps. Someone like me would definitely love her. I have nothing against them. I don’t really get it very much. Every guy should be a simp for his lady.

Weimer: You made a Club Penguin reference in a FaZe Clan video. What is your favorite color of puffle and why?

Beam: Back then, the pink puffle was my favorite. I wasn’t allowed to talk to boys until I was 15. I was very sheltered. So I went to Club Penguin and talked to my brother’s friends on chat. You can only choose the pre-made sets. I wasn’t allowed to play video games, but my mom let us play Club Penguin because she thought it was harmless. So it was a lot of fun.

Weimer: Why did you decide to stop posting on YouTube and move on on TikTok?

beam: On YouTube, you need someone to edit and film your videos. It’s more work. You need to create thumbnails. It needs more thought out. I just have a lot of other things in my life that I focus on. I think I’ll come back to YouTube. I just took a little break. TikTok is easy. I can set up my own phone and film a little five second video.

Weimer: I noticed that you love snakes. You were a farm girl who grew up in Colorado. Is that a carryover?

Beam: I grew up with every animal imaginable. We had hedgehogs, snakes, rats, hamsters; I had it all. I just love animals and that’s a big part of my Imara stuff too.
